The organisers of the NSW Formula Ford Championship are pleased to announce a short three (3) round series to be run in conjunction with the 2010 NSW Formula Ford Championship.

The series, known as the “NSW Petit Series”, is aimed at competitors who are unable to compete to their satisfaction in the complete five (5) round championship, yet could manage a shorter series.

The series will have amended tyre restrictions than the championship providing a lower running cost across the series. The competitors must register for the series and nominate the three (3) rounds to be contested, which must include at least one (1) round at Wakefield Park and at least one (1) round at Eastern Creek. Nomination of rounds must be done prior to qualifying for the round.

The object of the series is not to reduce the number of competitors challenging for the championship but hopefully entice competitors who don’t participate in the championship, into a smaller scale series suitable for their time and budget.

The organisers hope this initiative will entice some competitors to get their cars out of the shed, or bring new competitors into the Formula Ford fold.

This will also suit those competitors keen on running in the Fiesta class that may wish to couple their selective rounds of the Australian Formula Ford Championship with State Racing activities.

Series regulations can be obtained from the NSW Formula Ford website, or by contacting Jeff Senior ( This e-mail address is being protected from spam bots, you need JavaScript enabled to view it ) on 0412 580 620.
